The primary mission of RStudio is to build a sustainable open-source business that creates software for data science and statistical computing. You may have already heard of some of our work, such as the RStudio IDE, R Markdown, shiny, and many packages in the tidyverse.
Our open source projects are supported by our commercial products that help teams of R users work together effectively, share computing resources, and publish their results to decision makers within the organization. We also build hosted products to take away the pain of managing R and RStudio yourself, and allow anyone to use R and RStudio even without serious computing resources.
RStudio offers a unique opportunity to join a high-caliber team in a successful business that is actively impacting the practice of data science. We are seeking smart, thoughtful, and hard-working individuals who are also kind and empathic. We are an organization that values talent, humility, and hard work over hierarchy. We understand how draining creative work can be, and we also ensure that you spend time away from work recharging with your family and friends.
We are primarily a remote company with small offices in Redmond and Boston. RStudio employees live throughout the US, with a few of us in Canada, Belgium, Portugal and the UK. We value the uninterrupted time that allows us to do deep work, while collaborating when needed over video conferencing and Slack. The whole company meets in person twice a year, providing a valuable opportunity for in-person collaboration, long-term planning, and having fun.
People who thrive at RStudio are generally relatively technical for their line of work. The use of R is growing outside its traditional scientific domains, and we want you to be excited to learn about how R can help you in your job.
RStudio is an equal opportunity employer. We value diverse viewpoints, and we encourage people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply. RStudio cares about you and your family, and offers excellent medical/dental/vision insurance, long-term disability insurance, and 401(k) matching.
